{"id":23737,"date":"2025-04-16T10:30:46","date_gmt":"2025-04-16T10:30:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodepal.es\/?p=23737"},"modified":"2025-04-16T13:25:00","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T13:25:00","slug":"mas-de-1-400-estudiantes-participan-en-las-actividades-del-proyecto-planetario-itinerante","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sodepal.es\/en\/mas-de-1-400-estudiantes-participan-en-las-actividades-del-proyecto-planetario-itinerante\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 1,400 students take part in the activities of the Travelling Planetarium project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"23737\" class=\"elementor elementor-23737\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-36d1fa0 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"36d1fa0\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-20481759\" data-id=\"20481759\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-203ce316 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"203ce316\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"field field--name-field-noticias-entradilla field--type-text-long field--label-hidden field--item\"><h4>President Sergio Rodr\u00edguez stresses the importance of promoting scientific dissemination activities among students at different educational levels.<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item\"><p>The Itinerant Planetarium project, promoted by the Youth and Tourism Departments of the Cabildo de La Palma and the public company Sodepal through the Astrotourism Dissemination and Promotion Programme, concludes its first phase of activities with the participation of more than 1,400 students from the island.<\/p><p>The island president, Sergio Rodr\u00edguez, highlights the didactic role of this new project. \"We believe that the work carried out by the Astrotourism Outreach and Promotion Programme with the Cabildo Planetarium is very important, as it not only transmits knowledge, but also works to raise awareness of the defence of the night sky, learning to recognise birds such as the shearwater, and stimulating possible scientific vocations that have yet to be defined among the students\", he emphasises.<\/p><p>Since the creation of this Travelling Planetarium, six educational centres in four municipalities of the island have been visited, where the students were able to enjoy a spectacular immersive video of the Solar System, followed by a section in which the need to defend this resource with the Sky Protection Act is shared, and in which not only the Observatory and Astrotourism are discussed, but also nocturnal biodiversity.
