The organisers and the security and emergency teams close the system designed for the race.
The Transvulcania adidas Terrex held yesterday the last coordination meeting regarding the security of the race in order to finalise all the details concerning a fundamental area for the good development of the race. In total, there are more than 400 security personnel who will coordinate the security of the race.
The meeting was attended by Miriam Perestelo, Darwin Rodríguez and Yurguen Hernández, councillors of the Cabildo de La Palma, as well as representatives of the island's security forces and volunteer organisations, which are essential for the correct development of the event.
At the meeting, certain decisive aspects of the sporting, environmental and logistical operation of the event were outlined, which will recover its original routes in its different competitive distances.
The security arrangements will cover all the events organised for this important sporting event for the island. For this purpose, there will be six medical posts, ten rescue teams, emergency personnel and emergency personnel, security and telecommunications forces, a whole network of operations and participants that form part of the event's Self-Protection Plan.
