"Beyond the results and the winners, I think that in this edition there is a winner, which is the island of La Palma. To see how the spirit of Transvulcania has been reactivated in the people of La Palma is priceless and the example is what has been experienced at the arrival of the Marathon to its original place in Puerto de Tazacorte. I sincerely believe that this edition of the Transvulcania has brought back the excitement to participants, public and organisers", said the president of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, at the end of the race.
