The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal, directed by Miriam Perestelo, is extending its business advisory service to all the districts of La Palma.
This initiative aims to bring the necessary support and guidance to future entrepreneurs and those seeking to strengthen their businesses on the island.
"This expansion of the business advice service represents a firm commitment by Sodepal and the Cabildo de La Palma to the business community," said Perestelo. "Our aim is to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and businessmen, providing them with the necessary tools to promote their projects and contribute to the economic growth of the island.
He also stressed the importance of the physical presence in all the counties, as well as the various forms of advice offered, which include face-to-face, remote, videoconference and telephone support.
The councillor also emphasised the agreement signed with the Ministry of Industry and Tourism to become a Point of Attention for Entrepreneurs (PAE), "which allows us to broaden our scope and provide even more comprehensive support to those who decide to start up a business in La Palma", she explained.
The counselling service is offered in four ways to ensure accessibility and convenience. Users can choose to receive assistance in person at the El Paso offices, located in the CEIP, Avenida Venezuela s/n, office 3, by appointment on 922 41 73 73 23. In addition, remote counselling is provided using AnyDesk technology, allowing remote desktop access. Videoconference sessions are also offered through platforms such as Zoom, Hangouts or Google Meet, as well as telephone advice for quick consultations and follow-up of procedures.
Travel agenda
Sodepal's business advisory service will make monthly trips to different areas of La Palma. Every first working Wednesday of the month it will be in Tijarafe to attend to that municipality and Garafía and Puntagorda, starting on the 8th of May.
On the second Wednesday it will be located in Fuencaliente to attend to that municipality and Villa de Mazo, while on the third Wednesday it will be in San Andrés y Sauces to cover that municipality, Puntallana and Barlovento.
Finally, the fourth Wednesday will be held in Breña Alta to attend to that municipality, Breña Baja and Santa Cruz de La Palma. It is also reminded that the Aridane Valley will be covered by the permanent Sodepal office in the CEIP facilities in El Paso.
