What happens if we combine humour and astronomy, and what if a comedian and an astrophysicist meet?

The performing arts also have a place in AstroFest 2024. On Friday 25th October, from 20.00 h. and in the Casa de la Cultura of Tazacorte, Petite Lorena and Irene Puerto will talk about the stars.

Activity organised by SODEPAL and financed by the Tourism Department of the Cabildo de La Palma, with the collaboration, on this occasion, of the Town Hall of Tazacorte.

Petite Lorena. Actress and comedian. "I had a boyfriend who worked upstairs at the astrophysicist's".

As well as being an actress, she is considered one of the most acclaimed comedians in the Canary Islands. With more than 20 years on stage, her fame has only grown. She participates in various television and radio programmes, as well as having presented galas such as the New Year's Eve 2021 on Radio Televisión Canaria, or having collaborated in national programmes such as "Late Motiv" or the Late Night "Ruffus y Navarro" on TVE, among others.

Irene Puerto. Astrophysicist, surfer, doctor in physics, populariser, researcher and teacher. "Today I am making your astrological chart".

Her passions are the sea and the sky. She has been a researcher in quantum physics and high-energy astrophysics in Canada and Tenerife, a physics professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and currently works as a communicator in the educational project CosmoLab, of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo of Tenerife. As a monologist, she has performed in numerous editions of "Big Van Ciencia", both in Spain and Latin America. And he participated in the previous edition of AstroFest.
