The "Scientific Vocations" programme, this year within AstroFest 2024, will once again feature the participation of one of the best science communicators, Javier Santaolalla, but on this occasion with the presentation of "The power of ideas".

Santaolalla is, in addition to being a science populariser, an engineer and Doctor in Physics. Collaborator in TVE's "Órbita Laika", winner of the 2015 Aquae award for his scientific monologues, and defined by a digital newspaper as "The greatest Spanish science populariser on the web". He was part of the team that discovered the Higgs Boson. And he has recently been awarded the Abora Prize of Canary Islands Excellence 2024, for his work in scientific dissemination.
