Isla Bonita Moda consolidates its work in the promotion of local talent and achieves historic numbers in terms of commercial reach and value.

The Isla Bonita Moda (IBM) project, a quality guarantee seal of approval from the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through Sodepal, has proved to be a fundamental driving force to boost the fashion sector in La Palma, consolidating itself as a pioneering initiative in the promotion of local talent and the creation of a unique fashion identity for the island, and supporting the decisions taken on this initiative by the island's Government Group.

These are the pillars that guide the steps of a project that, in 2024, has achieved outstanding figures in return on investment in communication, reflecting the success of its strategies with a reach of almost 400 million users and a value of almost 2.5 million euros.

However, these figures are not just numbers, but proof of the qualitative impact that reveals the strengthening of the brand, the consolidation of strategic relationships and the positioning of its identity values in an increasingly competitive global market.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, emphasised that the Seal encourages and promotes the development of the creative and textile sector on the island, closing the 2024 financial year celebrating key achievements as a result of its strategic action plan.

In an event attended by all the brands involved in the project, the president expressed his gratitude for the trust shown by these professionals and for the work that the Cabildo de La Palma and Sodepal continue to carry out in order to achieve the common objectives.

Along these lines, Sergio Rodríguez stressed that work is focusing on promoting education and training; strengthening the visibility of the IBM brand and its associates through strategic alliances; consolidating its presence at events, catwalks and international trade missions; as well as reinforcing identity values such as craftsmanship, nature, sustainability and the island's historical and cultural heritage, positioning La Palma as an attractive destination.

In 2025, its horizon is focused on continuing to strengthen competitiveness through specialised training and a programme of study grants and incentives to promote local talent; on participating in key international trade fairs and events such as Madrid Es Moda, Adlib Ibiza or Swim Week by Gran Canaria Moda Cálida; on boosting marketing with its own initiatives such as the 'Shopping Weekend by IBM' which will travel to new destinations; and on reinforcing brand positioning through strategic campaigns and collaborations with media and influential national and international figures.

IBM is getting stronger, opening new paths hand in hand with creators, brands and related professionals from the creative and textile sector that make up a fashion community in La Palma, boosting the economic and cultural development of the island in a scenario full of opportunities for the future not only outside, but also on the island. With an intensive agenda of activities, IBM has managed to strengthen its presence both locally and internationally, and has generated new opportunities for all its associates with the clear objective of building a bright future for fashion on the island of La Palma.

For her part, the Councillor for Economic Promotion and delegate councillor of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, stresses that 2024 has been a decisive year for Isla Bonita Moda, marking important milestones in its consolidation as a benchmark for signature and sustainable fashion in the Canary Islands.

Similarly, Miriam Perestelo emphasised that work has been done on attracting talent, professionalising the sector and supporting local brands, which have become fundamental pillars for these achievements. As the project moves into 2025, the councillor insisted that commercial expansion, the strengthening of the international presence and the continued promotion of local talent are expected to remain the keys to the growth of Isla Bonita Moda and all its associates.
