The public company Sodepal and the educational centre have signed a collaboration agreement to foster economic growth and promote the professionalisation of the design sector through the Isla Bonita Moda programme.
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Society for Economic and Social Promotion and Development of the Island of La Palma (SODEPAL) has signed a collaboration agreement with the Manolo Blahnik Art School, an agreement that seeks to promote synergies and support the creative and design sector on the island by strengthening the Isla Bonita Moda programme.
The Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo de La Palma and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, highlights the importance that the Isla Bonita Moda programme has been gaining to position itself as a key platform for the promotion of design, fashion and emerging talent on the island. "This programme not only strengthens business management and promotional activity at regional, national and international level, but also contributes to the professionalisation of the sector, benefiting local creators", the councillor points out.
The Manolo Blahnik School of Art, a benchmark in the training of qualified professionals in plastic arts and design on La Palma, will contribute its experience and resources in design and advertising graphics, offering creative and logistical support to the promotional projects.
It is a collaboration that will enable strategic training and joint promotion of initiatives in favour of the creative and design sector on the island. The activities of the agreement include meeting programmes and training activities that will generate economic activity on the island and promote local talent.
This agreement represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen the fashion industry in La Palma, highlighting the commitment of SODEPAL and Isla Bonita Moda to support and promote the economic and cultural growth of the island and adds to the ongoing collaboration that has been carried out in the last year with students of the Fashion Modelling and Artistic Jewellery Procedures cycles of the centre.
