communication, as well as the participation of celebrities and opinion leaders from the sector, all focused on generating greater reach and visibility for the participating firms.
The event has the support of Canarias Islas de Moda, an initiative promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands through Proexca, which aims to internationalise and promote the creative talent of the archipelago. It also has the support of Creadores ACME, consolidating a collaborative network that seeks to strengthen the positioning of the island's fashion in strategic markets such as Madrid.
In the words of Miriam Perestelo, Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma and CEO of Sodepal: "The arrival of the Shopping Weekend in Madrid is a fundamental step in our marketing and visibility strategy for the fashion brands of La Palma and the rest of the islands. Madrid is a key place to access new markets and consumers, and this type of action allows the creative talent of our brands to be recognised, valued and, above all, consumed beyond the regional sphere".
With this event, Isla Bonita Moda reaffirms its commitment to the professionalization of the sector and the external projection of the design made in the Canary Islands.
A month to celebrate
The idea of celebrating the Month of the Canary Islands, rather than just one day, was born to make cultural, heritage and social diversity visible over several weeks. It is an opportunity for knowledge and appreciation of the culture of the islands to reach all corners of the archipelago and even cross borders.
This is the second year in a row that Canary Islands Day has been celebrated throughout the month. On this occasion, the programme includes more than 70 activities in all the islands, under the slogan 'Proud of who we are'.
The programme of the Month of the Canary Islands can be consulted on the website of the Government of the Canary Islands (https://www.gobiernodecanarias.org/presidencia/diadecanarias/2025), as well as every day on the social networks of the Presidency of the Government and the areas organising each activity.
