Councillor Miriam Perestelo highlights "the important step forward that island companies have taken in their digital transformation".
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Acelera Pyme Office, managed by the public company Sodepal, has held the second edition of the Business Digitalisation Awards, an initiative that highlights the efforts of the island's small and medium-sized enterprises to make progress in the technological field.
The aim of these awards is to recognise the commitment of Palmeros SMEs and entrepreneurs to innovation, digital visibility and gender equality in the technological environment.
The Councillor for Economic Promotion, Trade and Digital Transformation of the Cabildo and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, underlined the progress achieved by the island's business fabric. "These awards represent an advance in digital skills that raises the level of the different agents involved, which has a direct impact on the economic and social development of La Palma", she added.
In this edition, the Award for the Best Business Digitalisation Project went to Pitusa Creaciones, led by the artisan Maira Riverol, who has managed to integrate digital tools into her processes, notably improving the customer experience with an innovative proposal.
The Award for Highest Visibility on Social Networks went to Zulay Bakery, recognised by the jury for its digital marketing strategy, the creativity of its content and the remarkable reach of its online presence.
Finally, the award for Women's Participation in Digitalisation went to Naza Martín, creator of La Máquina Creadora, a project that promotes female leadership, innovation and actions with social impact in the digital sphere.
