The Lustral Fest 2025 closes the line-up with a list of artists worthy of a celebration that only happens every five years. In addition to the already announced Latin stars, Nicky Jam (25 July) and Marc Anthony (26 July), there are now several international and Canarian artists. Spanish singer and songwriter Lia Kali, Panamanian Boza, American Elena Rose and Palmera singer Julia Debis complete the line-up for the 25th. On 26 July Marc Anthony will be accompanied by Canarian and Palmero talent with Las K-Narias, Nia, Laura Low and Macaca Radiata.
The festival, promoted by Sodepal -a public company of the Cabildo de La Palma-, has opted for the great figures of Latin music together with several Canarian artists, in order to continue giving visibility to the talent that exists on the islands.
The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, emphasised the commitment to a change of format, focusing on big concerts with a headliner and not eight-hour festivals. "These concerts also complete the greatest support in the history of the Cabildo de La Palma for the Fiesta Lustral", he said.
Rodríguez also emphasised the island corporation's commitment to promoting local talent, as "five of the eight artists are from the Canary Islands, and of those from the Canary Islands, two are from our island".
"We are betting on a double day with different themes and possibilities for different audiences, with the first day dedicated to urban music and the second to salsa and Latin music with two world-class figures, Nicky Jam on Friday 25 July and Marc Anthony on Saturday 26 July," he recalled.
The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, explained that "a competition will be held for emerging talent on the island, so that they can share with these artists. We will win it with the firm commitment to continue promoting local talent".
Perestelo explained that the rules will soon be available on the Sodepal website and that singers, DJs, bands and other artists will be able to register from 16 to 30 June. "This is another step towards consolidating this festival, which has become a platform to promote local talent", she said.
For his part, the mayor of the capital, Asier Antona, stressed that this festival "is a commitment to the musical talent of the islands. We have proposed this descent of the Virgin as something for all the people of La Palma, with inter-administrative collaboration".
"This descent will be historic, firstly because of the participation of the citizens and also because of the institutions that are working together to ensure that 350 events complete a programme with activities for all audiences", the mayor emphasised.
