Tijarafe will host this year's initiative, which transforms entrepreneurship into an immersive, audiovisual and practical experience.
The Cabildo de La Palma and the public company Sodepal are promoting a new edition of Talent Camp La Palma, an event that seeks to attract creativity and innovation to the field of local entrepreneurship. The meeting, which transforms learning into an immersive, audiovisual and practical experience, will take place from 14 to 16 August in Tijarafe.
The Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, presented the new edition together with the Mayoress of Tijarafe, Yaiza Cáceres.
"One of the main objectives of the island's government team is to attract and promote talent, as well as to achieve other goals, such as fixing the population on our island and generating a territory with viable opportunities for economic activity and job creation. For all this, we understand that it is key to make spaces like this available to people that promote learning and the exchange of knowledge and experiences", said Miriam Perestelo.
Miriam Perestelo also stressed the firm and committed commitment of the government team to the development and revitalisation of the most rural areas of La Palma, something that is evident through various actions, but also by betting on a municipality like Tijarafe to make it the epicentre of talent and creativity.
He also explained that, during three intense days, the people taking part in the initiative will be grouped into multidisciplinary teams to face real challenges proposed by local companies, working on the basis of collaboration and creative problem solving. The aim is to turn ideas into concrete, innovative and viable proposals in a dynamic environment that simulates the pressure and excitement of the real professional world.
"This new edition of Talent Camp combines a competition format with the aesthetics of a live audiovisual experience, rewarding the first and second team of the edition and contributing to support and promote their projects", explained the councillor.
Likewise, the mayoress of Tijarafe, Yaiza Cáceres, thanked the Cabildo of La Palma for having established this new edition of the event in the municipality and for continuing to position it on the island and regional map, making it possible to showcase its full potential in terms of tourism, but also as an ideal place for the development of projects.
