The Cabildo stimulates the commercial sector with the first edition of the "Feria de Saldos" in Breña Alta.

The first edition of this event, which will boost small and medium-sized businesses and give visibility to local talent, will be held until Sunday, 5 October.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through its public company Sodepal and in collaboration with the Town Council of Breña Alta, is organising the new Feria de Saldos, which opened in the Parque de Los Álamos with the participation of 30 companies from the catering and commerce sector from various municipalities on the island. This first edition will be held until next Sunday, 5th October, with a programme that aims to boost small and medium-sized businesses and give visibility to local talent.

The island's president, Sergio Rodríguez, points out that this fair "goes beyond a simple shopping weekend". "The main objective is to clear stock and rotate products, which is fundamental for the financial health of any business," he added.

In this sense, Rodríguez thanked the traders for their initiative to actively participate in this event. "This fair is yours, thank you for your daily effort and your courage," he said.

Miriam Perestelo, Councillor for Economic Promotion and Trade and CEO of Sodepal, explained that "the stands are completely free for businesses and have the best equipment, as we understand that investing in our entrepreneurs is investing in the future of our island".

Furthermore, the mayor of Breña Alta, Jonathan Felipe, added that he admires the efforts of the companies that are present today. "In this region, people who have decided to start a business have found in Breña Alta a place to do so. This has been a work of many years and trade is an economic sector that we have understood that it is necessary to put it in value".

Of all the participating companies, 16 are from the municipality of Breña Alta, six from Los Llanos de Aridane, three from San Andrés y Sauces, two from Santa Cruz de La Palma and one each from Puntallana, Breña Baja and El Paso.

The event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, from 10:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
