With seven months to go, the event closes two of its modalities in October, marking a historic milestone.
The Transvulcania adidas TERREX continues to break barriers. With seven months to go, the iconic trail running event of La Palma has already surpassed the 2,600 registered participants, and has hung the "full" sign in two of its modalities, marking a historic milestone in its trajectory.
Never before has Transvulcania reached these figures in October. The phenomenon confirms the definitive resurgence of the race, which after the last editions has managed to regain the interest and passion of the runners and public of La Palma as well as of the popular and elite international athletes.
The Marathon and Half Marathon have sold out in record time, while there are still places available for the Ultramarathon and Vertical Climb to complete the 3,000 participants in total for its sixteenth edition. Today, Friday, the waiting list for the two modalities that have just sold out on the event's website will be opened. This new success consolidates the Transvulcania adidas TERREX as one of the most desired events in the international trail running calendar, and as a real tourist, sporting and social engine for La Palma.
The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, stresses that the commitment made by the island's government group to work towards the recovery of the event is making it possible to continue obtaining results like this one, in which, once again, the Transculcania adidas TERREX is once again arousing great interest among athletes and the public.
The Transvulcania adidas TERREX is organised by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through the public company SODEPAL, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Department of Tourism and Promotur with its brand "Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida", as well as the companies adidas, Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, Hotel La Palma Princess, Hotel Meliá La Palma, Fred. Olsen Express, Cicar, Spar La Palma, Coca-Cola, Libbys and Isola.
