Sabores del Noreste' brings together a careful selection of local gastronomic proposals in San Andrés y Sauces.

The Cabildo de La Palma and Sodepal bring together more than a dozen companies in San Andrés y Sauces to promote food from La Palma and zero-kilometre products.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the company Sodepal and with the collaboration of the Town Council of San Andrés y Sauces and ACE San Andrés y Sauces, is making progress in the organisation of the gastronomic fair 'Sabores del Noreste', which will be held on Saturday 22nd November in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de Montserrat. After the closing of the registration period, the event confirms the participation of 11 local companies and establishments, which will offer a wide variety of gastronomic proposals.

The Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo de La Palma and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, values the commitment of the businesses that have joined the event. "It is essential to have establishments involved and with a track record in local gastronomy. They are the ones who give the fair its own identity", she stresses.

On the other hand, the mayor of San Andrés y Sauces, Francisco Paz, is grateful for the support of the participants and underlines their role in the revitalisation of the municipality. "Each of the establishments that joins 'Sabores del Noreste' contributes to strengthen our culinary offer and to project the quality of the local product".

This first edition will feature a wide variety of proposals such as Ron Aldea's handcrafted drinks, Tuno Catering's creations, and the gastronomy of Bar El Guanche, Bar Elumar, Bar Residencia El Drago, Sie7e Islas Burguer Bar and Mojitos Tajogaite's cocktails. Dulce Tentación will be the sweetest of the sweet offerings, while wine from La Palma will be present thanks to wineries such as Vinos Mergus and Vinos Vitega. There will also be producers such as Granja Los Tumbitos, as well as complementary spaces for the public, such as the rest area and a photocall area to immortalise the day.

The fair will focus on black pig meat, an emblematic product of the island, which will inspire many of the dishes that attendees will be able to taste. The creativity of the participants will turn this event into a showcase of tradition, innovation and commitment to zero-kilometre food.

Sabores del Noreste' seeks to position itself as an essential event to enjoy the gastronomy of La Palma. The Cabildo de La Palma, through Sodepal and the Saborea La Palma project, thus maintains its commitment to promoting local produce, boosting the gastronomic sector and the economic revitalisation of the municipalities in the north of the island.

Encourage the consumption of local products

With the aim of continuing to support Palmeros businesses and to encourage people to buy local products, those who attend the fair will take part in a draw to win 30 vouchers worth 20 euros each, which can be exchanged after the event at any of the participating establishments.

With this action, the Cabildo de La Palma and Sodepal seek to reinforce support for the local business fabric and encourage the public to continue discovering and enjoying the gastronomic offer of the northeast of the island beyond the event itself.
