The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal, opens the registration period for the 35th edition of the summer camp, which will take place in the recreational area of El Riachuelo, in the municipality of El Paso. As every year, there will be three shifts divided according to age, and it will run from 21 July to 10 August, with an extensive programme of activities.

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, recognises the trajectory of this camp and defines it as a "reference" in the area of leisure and recreational activities offered to children on the island during the summer. "What makes this camp so special is its ability to combine leisure and fun with learning, all in a natural environment", says Perestelo.

In this sense, the Youth Councillor, Yurguen Hernández, values this initiative as "very positive" for the social and cognitive growth of young people. "With this camp we ensure that young people continue acquiring knowledge in a different way and socialising with peers and monitors at a time when these stimuli tend to diminish due to the end of classes and the summer holidays".

The camp will be divided into three different shifts, separated by age, with the first shift, from 21 to 27 July, for children aged 8 to 10. The second shift, from 28 July to 3 August, will be for children born between 2012 and 2014. Finally, the third shift will take place from 4 to 10 August for children aged 14 to 17.
