The Cabildo Insular de La Palma and the public company Sodepal have published the programme of the Desaquellados Festival, which will be held from 23rd to 28th June in different venues around the island, with a vibrant programme that will culminate in Puerto Naos, which has become the great coastal stage for humour, music and culture. The festival also has the collaboration of the Town Hall of Los Llanos de Aridane, as a key institution in the organisation and dynamisation of the environment.
Directed by Petite Lorena, the show will bring together big names from the national scene such as Ignatius Farray, Eva Hache and Kiko Veneno, together with an outstanding representation of local talent, such as the comedians Isa Fuentes and Ayoze Pérez, as well as students from the festival's training programme, who will have the opportunity to share the stage and show their proposals.
The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, stressed that "the Desaquellados 2025 Festival is much more than a cultural event; it is a token of affection for Puerto Naos and La Bombilla, two coastal towns deeply affected by the volcanic eruption that are still waiting to recover their normality. We are committed to bringing these spaces back to life with what unites us best: culture, art and a sense of humour. We want the whole island to feel part of this return to joy".
Miriam Perestelo, the Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo and CEO of Sodepal, highlighted the strategic importance of the festival as part of the island's recovery plans: "Desaquellados shows how culture can be a driving force for transformation and social cohesion. We invite the people of La Palma to enjoy, participate and reconnect with a territory that is a symbol of resistance and hope".
The activities begin on Monday 23rd with workshops, educational meetings and a diverse programme, which culminates with live performances from Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th, from 20:30 on the main stage of Puerto Naos, where music, humour and youthful creativity will fill the promenade with life.
With free access for residents and visitors until full capacity is reached, Desaquellados 2025 is projected as an insular cultural reference, committed to local talent, the revitalisation of the territory and the progressive return to normality in the areas most affected by the volcano.
