This initiative underlines the Cabildo Insular's commitment to innovation, digitalisation and competitiveness in the business fabric of La Palma.
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Acelera Pyme Office managed by the Society for Economic and Social Promotion and Development of the island of La Palma (Sodepal), has presented the Digitalisation Awards, an initiative aimed at recognising the digital transformation efforts of the island's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With these awards, the Cabildo reaffirms its support for the technological development and competitiveness of the business fabric of La Palma, promoting the adoption of digital tools and processes.
During the award ceremony, the Councillor for Digital Transformation of the Cabildo and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, personally visited the establishments of the award-winning companies, in a gesture that underlines the closeness and institutional support for the local business sector. "These awards celebrate the ability of our SMEs to adapt and advance in the digital era, demonstrating that innovation is key to achieving long-term economic viability. It is a recognition of the efforts of every businessman and businesswoman who is committed to modernising their processes and improving their competitiveness", highlighted Perestelo.
Each awarded company received a financial incentive of 1,000 euros to support their digitisation processes, along with prominent visibility in the local media. This boost helps to consolidate their achievements as examples of good business practice on the island.
