The second edition of this event, which will take place on 26 and 27 September, will host the 2025 National Enogastronomic Meeting of Taste Spain.
The Cabildo de La Palma, through its public company Sodepal and within the framework of the Saborea La Palma project, will bring together more than 100 representatives and producers from the gastronomic sector in Los Llanos de Aridane for the celebration of the Saborea La Palma Island Gastronomy Fair. The second edition of this event, which will take place on 26 and 27 September, will host the 2025 National Enogastronomic Meeting of Saborea España.
For the president of the Cabildo, Sergio Rodríguez, in these days "we are not only celebrating food, but we are celebrating our identity. The gastronomic fairs in La Palma are much more than an event; they are the heart of our culture, the reflection of our history and a fundamental pillar for our future".
In this sense, Rodríguez highlights the role of this type of celebrations in boosting the island's economy, supporting small producers, as well as positioning La Palma as a top gastronomic tourist destination. "The fairs become a showcase for the richness and quality of our culinary offer, attracting people looking for genuine and memorable experiences.
The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, points out that, after the success of the first edition, this year the aim is to "consolidate the Saborea La Palma Island Gastronomy Fair as one of the events of reference for producers and chefs in the Canary Islands".
He also highlights the work that has been carried out to ensure that the island hosts, for the first time, the annual meeting of Saborea España, considering it a "great opportunity" to promote and enhance the gastronomy of La Palma at a national level.
The Councillor for Commerce of Los Llanos de Aridane, Verónica González, thanks the Cabildo for choosing her municipality to hold this important culinary event, which "promises to be a showcase for our culinary wealth".
That is why he invites all citizens, and especially food lovers, to attend this gastronomic event. "At the fair they will be able to discover and taste the best of home, but also try flavours and proposals from other islands and parts of Spain. All this without leaving our emblematic Plaza de España".
Gastronomy and leisure
The Saborea La Palma Island Gastronomy Fair will have a total of 40 stands dedicated to a producer or restaurant on the island. In addition, this year there will be four guest destinations, three regional and one national, with the aim of further enriching the gastronomic offer of the event.
There will also be an area called Come La Palma, which will have its own stage, kitchen, lighting and sound equipment, so that different national cuisine professionals can make live presentations.
In addition, a new feature of this second edition will be a Business Centre, an area dedicated to business activity where, thanks to the collaboration of the public company Sodepal, distributors working for gourmet shops will be able to taste the products on display at the fair and meet with their producers.
In addition to the gastronomic proposals, two concerts will be held and the children's playground, located behind the Casa de la Cultura, will be reinforced with an area of cooking activities for children, following the success of the last edition held in Fuencaliente.
