The Cabildo de La Palma promotes the creative talent of the island in its commitment to the economic development of the fashion and crafts sector.

The island of La Palma is getting ready for the celebration of a new edition of La Palma Fashion Week which, under the slogan 'A fashion getaway to paradise', will be held at the Museo Insular de San Francisco from the 13th to the 16th of November.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal and as part of the Isla Bonita Moda programme, is in charge of organising this event that allows the full potential of La Palma's talent in the creative and textile fields to become visible. And it does so by focusing on signature fashion and other fundamental values for the project, such as craftsmanship, sustainability, identity and the island's rich natural, artistic and cultural heritage.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, highlights the importance of La Palma Fashion Week as a unique opportunity to project and promote the excellent work carried out by the firms linked to the Isla Bonita Moda programme. Rodríguez points out that this event not only serves to promote the quality products that characterise these brands, but also to recognise and highlight the talent and creativity of the designers who promote these projects.

Miriam Perestelo, Councillor for Economic Promotion of the Cabildo de La Palma and CEO of Sodepal, also stressed that La Palma Fashion Week shows the great potential of the island in the fashion sector and as an engine of economic development, positioning it favourably in a competitive environment and providing added value to the local economy.

The week will begin on Wednesday 13th November with a series of training days, which will include a rich agenda full of workshops, lectures and mentoring aimed not only at fashion companies, but will also include all the essential agents in the development of the creative and textile sector on La Palma, highlighting the collaboration in this edition with the teaching staff and students of the Manolo Blahnik School of Art.

During the weekend, 15 and 16 November, you can enjoy several fashion shows and various actions that, in parallel, will bring the public closer to the full potential of the sector. Different special guests from all over the Canary Islands and the rest of Spain will also be taking part.

Full details of the programme will be announced in the coming days via the following website: https://islabonitamoda.es/

The poster for the event was designed by Camila Sepúlveda, a student of the Higher Cycle of Advertising Graphics taught at the Manolo Blahnik Art School, under the guidance of the group's teaching staff.

Isla Bonita Moda will present a promotional video starring Canarian models Marina Falcón and Darwin Echeverry, with styling by creative director Daniela Gutiérrez, a member of the Isla Bonita Moda Guarantee Committee, who has used garments, accessories and jewellery from all the designers who are members of the programme.
