La Palma Fashion Week 2024, the most important event of the island's textile and creative sector, organised by the Cabildo de La Palma through Sodepal and its Isla Bonita Moda programme, starts today.
During this week different venues on the island will host fashion shows, exhibitions and networking activities with the aim of promoting local and regional fashion, and to position La Palma as a benchmark in the national fashion scene.
The Councillor for Economic Promotion and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, highlighted the positive impact of this event on the local economy, and explained that Tenerife Moda, Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, Lanzarote Moda, Proexca, ACME and Adlib Ibiza have collaborated with the event, reflecting its national and collaborative nature. "The Cabildo and Sodepal have worked to consolidate this top level platform, where our designers can give visibility to their work, enriching the economic and cultural development of the island," he said.
La Palma Fashion Week 2024 will be attended by prominent figures such as the actress Hiba Abouk; the renowned Canarian top models Ariadne Artiles and Aida Artiles; the actress and singer Nona Sobo; the actress and singer Ane Rot; the top model Marta Ortiz; the presenter and communicator Lidia Torrent; the photographer and DJ Pepino Marino, and the Canarian content creators Minerva Hernández and Alex Mercurio, who will bring their charisma and experience to the event.
