Transvulcania reaches 750 registrations in 24 hours

Sergio Rodríguez stresses that this fact demonstrates the interest in the event "not only for the island's residents, but also for the world's elite and fans from all over the world".

Transvulcania, the queen of La Palma's sporting events, has reached 750 registered participants for its next edition in the first 24 hours of the registration period, according to the Cabildo de La Palma in a press release. The competition, managed by the public company Sodepal, has aroused such an interest among locals and foreigners that it is on its way to a thousand registered participants since the registration period opened at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday.

"This is another example of what Transvulcania means not only for the locals of the island of La Palma, but also for the world's elite and fans from all over the planet. We said that this edition would be special, and in view of the data that we have managed in just one day, it seems that the public is just as eager as we are to recover the shine that the race had, which is once again 100% palmera", says the island's president, Sergio Rodríguez.

It is worth remembering that the first Corporation has opted for a reduction in prices for 2024, returning them to 2019 levels. Thus, signing up for the Ultramarathon, to be held on 11 May, will cost 70 euros for residents and 90 for non-residents; the Marathon, 40 and 60, respectively; the Half, 35 and 55; the Junior Half, 20 and 30, and the Vertical Kilometre will remain at 30 euros in both cases.

From 1 January 2024, the fees will change, so that the Ultramarathon will cost 90 euros for residents and 110 for non-residents; the Marathon, 60 and 80; the Half, 55 and 75; the Junior Half, 20 and 30, and the Vertical Kilometre, once again, will keep the 30 euros fee regardless of where the runner is based.
