La Palma becomes a land of untamed arts with the Isla Fiera 2025 festival

The initiative, promoted by the public company Sodepal and the Town Council of Los Llanos de Aridane, will take place in the municipality from 7 to 9 November.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal, and in collaboration with the Town Council of Los Llanos de Aridane, is launching the first edition of Isla Fiera 2025, a festival of untamed arts and territory that proposes to live art from the experience, amazement and connection with nature, which will take place from the 7th to the 9th of November.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, stresses that this festival "reflects the essence of La Palma, a creative, brave island connected to its environment. The Cabildo is committed to a culture that not only entertains, but also inspires and generates new perspectives on the territory. Isla Fiera shows that art can also be a form of sustainable development and island pride".

For the Councillor for Culture of the La Palma Island Council and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, "having the opportunity to promote projects that combine talent, territory and sustainability means being able to value contemporary creativity without losing the link with nature and the identity of La Palma. That is why we are excited to see how art becomes a tool for connection and new experiences that we invite the people of La Palma to discover this weekend in Los Llanos".

For three days, the initiative will bring together five performance pieces that blur the boundaries between disciplines and are committed to a culture with soul, capable of moving, inspiring and generating reflection.

Under the direction of the creator and cultural manager Patricia Figuero, promoter of other outstanding cultural events such as Nombrarse Volcán, the festival turns La Palma into a meeting place between art and the environment, with proposals that dialogue, almost literally, with the elements - earth, water, plants, food and night - to transform the way we perceive the world we inhabit.

"Isla Fiera was born out of the desire to offer the public experiences that transform them, that take them out of their routine and give them back their capacity for amazement. We are interested in art that mixes with life, with the elements and with the territory, and we want everyone who comes to feel that they are part of something alive", says Patricia Figuero.

Programming

On Friday, 7 November, the initiative will begin at 20:00 at the Casa del Conde with the gastronomic concert Umami - La Gula, where a chef and a DJ will transform the act of cooking into a sound and tasting experience, picking up the sounds of the preparation and plating of an aperitif made with local produce. This activity will have limited seating and must be booked in advance at https://entradium.com/events/la-gula-concierto-gastronomico-umami-festival-isla-fiera

On Saturday, 8 November, the activities will begin at 19:00, in the Llano de Argual, with the interactive performance Bendiciones líquidas (Liquid Blessings), by Magdalena Hart & Meritxell de Soto, a sensorial experience based on water as a living archive, capable of remembering, mutating and returning the gestures of those who touch it. At 20:00 it will be the turn of Hugo Torres, with Bahía Botánica - Música & Plantas, an encounter between the artist and living plants: a sensitive dialogue in which music becomes a bridge with the life that surrounds us.

On Sunday 9th, the event will end at the Castillo de la Virgen, on the Tenisca Mountain, where at 17:30 hours, Laura Morales will perform La nueva bestia, a piece in which a shepherdess-dancer guides the audience on a journey towards the scenic space, evoking the ancestral link with the earth. At 7 p.m., Versonaturas will have a stage and music session under the name Recitare Religare, a sound and poetic ritual that invites to inner contemplation, exploring the invisible and the supernatural as ways of liberation, which will put the finishing touch to the first edition of the festival.
