La Palma prepares for the La Palma Equestrian Grand Final

El Paso hosts the last race of the Speed and Distance modalities next Sunday, June 1st, putting the finishing touch to an edition that has stood out for its high participation.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal, is organising the Grand Final of the La Palma Equestrian Championships on the 1st of June, specifically in the Distance category, an event that will bring together enthusiasts from 18:00 in the evening, on the road to Tajuya, in the municipality of El Paso.

There will be a single race in which four outstanding horses that have demonstrated their talent throughout the championship, such as 'Young General', 'Sea Dreaming', 'Cavo D'Oro' and 'Aitana Ciel', will compete. The race will not only define the winner of the Distance category, but will also serve to close this edition of La Palma Equestrian.

On Sunday, the final of the Speed category will also take place, starting at 18:00, in which 'Golden Choice', 'Moncloa' and 'Manacor' will compete for the prize for the fastest horse.

The island's president, Sergio Rodríguez, says that this project has managed to bring the world of horses closer to the public. "This type of event revitalises the rural environment and boosts the local economy through a proposal that unites sport and culture and is of great tourist interest," he says.

The Cabildo invites all citizens to enjoy a different kind of afternoon, where the technique and beauty of the horse world will come together in a family and festive atmosphere.
