The Transvulcania adidas TERREX opens registrations for its sixteenth edition

The emblematic mountain race will be held from 7 to 9 May 2026 with new rules and renewed expectations after the success of the last edition.

The organisers of the Transvulcania adidas TERREX have announced the opening of registration for its sixteenth edition, which will take place from the 7th to the 9th of May 2026 on the island of La Palma, through the website www.transvulcania.com. After the resounding success of the last edition - which sold out and broke five records - the event is shaping up to be one of the most important sporting events on the international trail running calendar.

Among the main new features of this year's edition is the incorporation of a new regulation that includes a cold or heat kit, which can be activated in the days prior to the event depending on the weather conditions forecast for the race. This measure aims to reinforce the safety of the runners and to adapt the event to the possible climatic changes typical of the island's geography.

The organisers are maintaining the prices of the previous edition, including a reduced rate for those who register in the first period, which has just been activated. Thus, the general cost will be 90 € for the Ultramarathon, 65 € for the Marathon, 55 € for the Half Marathon, and 30 € for the Junior Half Marathon, Vertical Climb and Joëlette. In addition, residents of La Palma will have special prices, €70 for the Ultramarathon, €45 for the Marathon, €35 for the Half Marathon and €20 for the Junior Half Marathon.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, stresses the commitment of the current government team to this race, which is a hallmark of La Palma society and which allows La Palma to continue to position itself in the international showcase, "a race that combines sport and nature and which is unique thanks to those who participate in it, but also thanks to our people, who are the best possible audience".

Miriam Perestelo, Councillor for Economic Promotion and Commerce and CEO of Sodepal, emphasised that the island's queen trail race not only positions the island for the sporting challenge it represents, but also for the route that its participants can enjoy, all of this combined with the other attractions of La Palma, such as its gastronomy and the purity of its skies, among others.

The Transvulcania adidas TERREX is organised by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through the public company SODEPAL, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Department of Tourism and Promotur with its brand "Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida".
