The Transvulcania Adidas TERREX maintains public access to its mythical points after the success of the previous edition.

The organisation consolidates the opening of iconic sites such as El Faro de Fuencaliente and El Pilar, with a special mobility operation to guarantee safety and fluidity.

The Transvulcania adidas TERREX continues to reinforce its commitment to the spectator experience by maintaining, for the second consecutive year, public access to some of the most emblematic points of the course. After the success of this measure in the last edition, the organisation is committed to consolidating a mobility model that allows fans to experience the spectacle of the ultramarathon in Palma up close.

Points such as El Faro de Fuencaliente - the starting point of the Ultramarathon and Half Marathon - and the Refugio de El Pilar will once again have spaces set aside for parking, as well as access controls that will regulate traffic to protect both runners and spectators.

In El Faro there will be 400 parking spaces and access will be exclusively via the LP-209 road, the Las Indias road, with controls at the height of the Hotel La Palma Princess, with a control point at the height of the hotel (LP-207), where drivers will be informed that, if they pass this point, they will have to wait until after the start of the Half Marathon to be able to leave the place, only going up towards Las Caletas (LP-207).

The left lane of this road, the LP-207, in the section between Playa de Echentive and the access junction to the lighthouse, will be made available for parking in its left lane. There will be State Security Forces and staff on site guiding drivers at all times to indicate where each vehicle should park so as not to block access to the area. Vehicles will be parked in order of arrival and the public, who will walk from their vehicles to the starting area at El Faro, must wear a reflective waistcoat or luminous devices. Attendees are advised to arrive early, as the start of the Ultramarathon is scheduled for 6:00 a.m. and great expectation is expected as this is the 15th anniversary of the event.

In the case of Refugio El Pilar, access in private vehicles will be limited to the eastern side of the island, via San Isidro (LP-301), while from El Paso it will only be possible to go up via the special shuttle bus service, operating from 4:30 to 13:30. Vehicles will have to return by the same route, with no possibility of crossing into the Aridane Valley while the restrictions are in force. Parking bays will be set up in the area known as Hoya del Rehielo.

In addition, there will be intermittent closures in other critical sections of the route, such as the area around Los Canarios and Roque de Los Muchachos, where parking areas and shuttles will also be set up to avoid crowds. In Los Llanos de Aridane, the nerve centre of the finish line, several streets will be closed to traffic due to the expected massive influx of people.

The Transvulcania organisation stresses that these measures aim to guarantee the safety of all those involved and to offer a closer and more exciting experience to those who come to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountain races in the world.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, stresses that the Cabildo and Sodepal continue to make progress in generating a close and participative event for the citizens of the island and those who visit it during these dates. "It is precisely the closeness and active participation of the public that has contributed to make Transvulcania a different race", Sergio Rodríguez emphasises.

The Transvulcania adidas TERREX is organised by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through the public company SODEPAL, with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Department of Tourism and Promotur with its brand "Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida", as well as the companies 226ERS, Hotel H10 Taburiente Playa, Hotel La Palma Princess, Hotel Meliá La Palma, Fred. Olsen Express, Cicar, Spar La Palma, Coca-Cola, Libbys and Isola.
