The first days of the traditional horse races of the La Palma Equestrian programme in the Distance and Speed categories were a resounding success in terms of support and public attendance.

The president of the Cabildo de La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, emphasised the importance of having the support of the thousands of people who came to the routes prepared for the races on the two days held on Saturday and Sunday.

The president emphasises that this presence reinforces the work that the Cabildo de La Palma and the public company Sodepal, coordinated directly from the Presidency, have put into this edition of La Palma Ecuestre, which aims to highlight the undoubted roots of this sport in La Palma society.

The La Palma Equestrian season kicked off on Saturday with the Distance races in the district of La Laguna, in Los Llanos de Aridane, where Aitana Ciel beat Viri Etoil; Pinturera beat Mascarado; Le Professeur beat Young General; Beautot beat Wuaspicho; Cavo D'Oro beat King Lud, Hit The Road beat Grisol, and in the last race of the afternoon Australia Cape beat True Love.
