Hiking and Mountain Festival

The island of La Palma has a new date from Friday 1st September to Sunday 3rd September 2023 with the 15th edition of the International Hiking and Mountain Festival Isla de La Palma 2023, which will have as its starting and finishing point the routes in S/C de La Palma, as well as being the place where the different leisure and recreational activities will take place.

This is therefore an invaluable resource that the Cabildo of La Palma has been able to value and develop by equipping, rehabilitating and theming the island's footpaths and old communication routes, which form part of the island's history, identity and collective heritage.

Our island, with its impressive landscapes, its sky and its extensive network of trails, is a privileged place to carry out all kinds of outdoor sports and leisure activities throughout the year, activities such as those that this Festival has been promoting for several years with a firm commitment to this type of event that has made the island a differentiated destination within the Canary Islands Archipelago and has consolidated it as a location in which not only its climate, but also its landscape, history, culture and traditions stand out.

This 15th edition of the International Hiking and Mountain Festival on the island of La Palma consolidates once again the success of this event, which brings the local population and visitors to the island closer to the island's heritage and ethnographic resources, always with the aim of valuing the local heritage and contributing to the island's sustainability.

All of this is done by means of professionally guided and signposted routes that provide hikers with a global and close-up view of the reality of the island of La Palma and allow them to enjoy the whole of the island of La Palma.

Our island, with its impressive landscapes, its sky and its extensive network of trails, is a privileged place to carry out all kinds of outdoor sports and leisure activities throughout the year, activities such as those promoted by this Festival, with a firm commitment to this type of event that has made the island a differentiated destination within the Canary Archipelago and highly recognised at national and international level, consolidating itself as a location in which not only its climate, but also its landscape, history, culture and traditions stand out.

La Palma has a projection and resources of incalculable value that the Cabildo of La Palma has been able to value and develop by equipping, rehabilitating and theming the trails and old communication routes on the island, which form part of the history, identity and collective heritage of the island.
