Isla Bonita Fashion

The Society for Economic and Social Promotion and Development of the Island of La PalmaWith the aim of creating a fashion community in line with the Isla Bonita Moda project, as well as to encourage the emergence of new values in the textile and creative field on the island of La Palma, has drawn up the present Rules and Regulations which aim to establish the set of rules that will govern the awarding of the "Isla Bonita Moda al Talento "Made In La Palma" prizes, in the five different categories listed below, and which are expected to take place on 28th February 2024. These dates are subject to change for technical reasons.

5 main categories:

  1. Fashion brand.
  2. Photography and catwalk model.
  3. Make-up and hairdressing professionals.
  4. Fashion photography.
  5. Content creator "Special Honorary Talent Award", awarded out of competition.

The Isla Bonita Moda project develops actions that aim to strengthen the growing fashion industry on our island by improving business management, promotional activities at regional, national and international level as well as the professionalisation of the sector.

Isla Bonita Moda has established agreements over the last few years with the most representative national organisations in our country, such as the Sustainable Fashion Association of Spainthe Spanish Association for Children's Products as well as with the Spanish Garment Federation and with the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España. These agreements reinforce the presence of Isla Bonita Moda member firms in internationalisation, training and marketing activities.

The Isla Bonita Moda project, in turn, forms part of the MODAMACa Business Cooperation programme for access to the foreign market and investment attraction of the fashion and clothing industry in the Macaronesian region developed within the INTERREG V-A Spain-Porugal MAC (Madeira-Azorez-Canary Islands) Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.

Important initiatives to promote emerging talent as well as commercialisation and support for the generation of economy have been created and managed directly by the project, such as the La Palma Fashion Market, La Palma Fashion Talent, La Palma Fashion Week, Pop Up La Palma Fashion Market and the Fábrica Creativa, among others: La Palma Fashion Market, La Palma Fashion Talent, La Palma Fashion Week, Pop Up La Palma Fashion Market or the Fábrica Creativa, among others.
