The documentary 'Transvulcania: la carrera de la gente', produced by NSN with the collaboration of the Cabildo de La Palma, will have its exclusive premiere next Saturday on the island, a few days before it will be available for free on the Rakuten TV platform.
The island president, Sergio Rodríguez, points out that the documentary will have its premiere at the Teatro Chico in Santa Cruz de La Palma, in a screening that will begin at 11:00 am, with free admission, and in which the audience present will be able to enjoy through the stories of athletes and local inhabitants, how this race has united a community over the years, becoming a symbol of self-improvement and belonging.
Subsequently, on Tuesday 12 November, Rakuten TV, one of Europe's leading streaming platforms, will premiere this new documentary as part of the Rakuten Originals collection. Produced by NSN and directed by Marc Barceló, this exciting documentary about one of the world's most iconic trail running events will be available exclusively in 42 European countries.
The producer defines the event as "a unique trail running experience that attracts the best athletes and fans from all over the world to the island of La Palma and a true spectacle of endurance and overcoming".
They also point out that since its first edition in 2009, "Transvulcania has been the scene of extraordinary feats in trail running". But beyond the competitions, what really attracted the production company and distinguishes this race is the unique connection between the athletes and the community. Through intimate testimonials and panoramic views, the documentary highlights the resilience, passion and indomitable spirit of the island. The film not only celebrates the tradition of trail running, but also pays tribute to the human capacity to overcome challenges, reminding us that even in the most difficult of times, community and passion can propel people to achieve the unimaginable.
