La Palma Artesanía participates in the XII edition of the Mencey Fashion Room

The event will take place from Friday, 14 June to Sunday, 16 June, at the Hotel Iberostar Heritage Gran Mencey in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal and through the project La Palma Artesanía, participates in the XII edition of the Mencey Fashion Room that will take place from Friday, June 14th to Sunday, June 16th, at the Hotel Iberostar Heritage Gran Mencey in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

La Palma Artesanía will present a selection of its articles in a concept store, highlighting the latest collection called 'Aborigen'. In addition to the promotion and sale of these products, the space will feature a live demonstration of the craft of palm basketry by the artisan Maira Riverol Cabello.

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, explained that "the Mencey Fashion Room is a prestigious event that allows us to showcase the richness of our craftsmanship on the island of La Palma. The 'Aborigen' collection is a reflection of our cultural identity and we are sure that it will be very well received by the attendees".

Pablo Díaz Cobiella, the crafts councillor, added that the presence of La Palma Artesanía at this event "not only gives us a platform to promote our products, but also allows us to support and strengthen the branding of our brand. The live basketry demonstration is a unique opportunity for the public to appreciate the talent and tradition of our artisans".

The Mencey Fashion Room, known for its wide range of fashion, crafts, design and leisure, is an event that attracts a large and varied public. This year's edition will include the participation of AFATE (Association of relatives and carers of Alzheimer's patients and other dementias in Tenerife), reaffirming its commitment to social actions.
