The Palma-based designer jewellery firm, part of the Isla Bonita Moda programme, is taking part in the Bisutex 2024 fair.
As part of the recently inaugurated Madrid Fashion Week, the Palma jewellery firm Lepa Punça - founded by the creative Melisa Rodríguez - is present in the capital thanks to Proexca and Isla Bonita Moda through Sodepal, together with a total of 18 Canarian firms from the fashion sector that represent the archipelago at the Bisutex and Momad 2024 trade fairs.
Held within the framework of IFEMA, thanks to the support of Proexca and the fashion programmes of the Councils of La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, the aim of this action, which is part of the internationalisation strategy, as well as the expansion and improvement of market positioning, is to provide all exhibitors with a key environment in which to market their new collections.
For the first time, Proexca in collaboration with the fashion collectives of the Island Councils -Isla Bonita Moda, Tenerife Moda, Gran Canaria Moda Cálida and Lanzarote Moda- are collaborating to launch this initiative, with the aim of taking the different Canarian companies that have been selected by means of a call for entries to these professional events of reference in the sector.
In the words of Miriam Perestelo, CEO of Sodepal, "this action reinforces our strategy of expansion in potential markets for SMEs, freelancers and artisans on the island, who have the opportunity to connect with potential markets and explore new lines of business. We are also doing this hand in hand with Proexca and the other institutional programmes of the different Island Councils in a clear commitment to promote all the talent of the islands in a coordinated manner".
For Melisa Rodríguez herself, being present at Bisutex is "an opportunity for different shops and agents in the sector to get to know the brand, to continue to delve deeper into the field of signature jewellery, and to support handcrafted, quality work that stands out from the rest".
