Palmeran products are promoted at the Salón Gourmets in Madrid

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, stresses the importance of eight food and beverage companies from La Palma making themselves known at one of the most important meetings of the sector at European level.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Saborea La Palma project, which belongs to the public company Sodepal, is promoting eight companies from the island at the 37th edition of Salón Gourmets, the leading food and beverage fair in Europe and the world, which will be held in Madrid from 22 to 25 April.

The Councillor for Economic Promotion and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, stresses the importance of the Island's food and beverage companies presenting their products at an event that is considered one of the first in Europe and a world reference in terms of quality.

To this end, he points out, the Institution of La Palma has made an important effort to ensure that producers and raw materials from the island have the prominence they deserve, as well as guaranteeing that they are known by other professionals and visitors to the fair.

The event will be attended in person by the island's companies Bodegas Tagalguen, Vinos Tendal, Veganorte, Ron Aldea, Delicias de La Huerta, Olicafé, Bruco La Palma and the Asociación de Criadores de Cabra Palmera.

The brands Mojos Virginia, La Destiladera, Mojos Sicilia, Mojos Regina, Mojos Ricomo, Piedra Jurada, Bodegas Tamanca, Vitega and Viña Traviesa Vidaviva Ecofood, Ecofinca Tacande, Los Tumbitos and Los Barbuzanos farms, Ron Aldea, Isla Verde, Molino Las Breñas, Molino El Guanche, Palmaoliva, Puros Julio and Salinas Teneguía, who will have the opportunity to present their products in a specially dedicated space, offering visitors the chance to get to know and taste the authentic essence of La Palma through its wines, agricultural products, coffee, cheese and much more.  

Furthermore, within the framework of the fair, La Palma will be present in the section of Olive Oils Origin from Spain, where it will exhibit the oils produced by Palmaoliva, highlighting the quality and characteristic flavour of these products.

The Saborea La Palma project seeks to revalue and position La Palma's gastronomy in regional, national and international markets, as well as to support the island's producers.

Salón Gourmets

Salón Gourmets celebrates its 37th edition in 2024, positioning itself as a key fair to promote producers at European and world level.

This year, the event will have more than 2,000 exhibitors and 55,000 products on display in an area of 65,000 square metres. In addition, 100,000 trade visitors from 85 countries are expected to attend.
