Saborea La Palma takes a sample of La Palma products to the Madrid Gourmet Fair

Around twenty food and beverage companies from La Palma make themselves known at one of the most important meetings of the sector at European level.

The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Saborea La Palma project, which belongs to the public company Sodepal, is taking part in the 37th edition of the Gourmets Fair, the food and beverage fair that stands out at European and world level and which is taking place these days in Madrid, showing a selection of top quality products from the island.

In collaboration with the island departments of Tourism and Agriculture, this is one of the most important gastronomic events in the country, bringing together professionals from the sector, companies and the general public.

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, points out that it also allows the products and producers from La Palma to reach a wide and qualified target audience, as it attracts thousands of visitors interested in gastronomy, which allows them to make their brands known to a potentially very wide audience.

In the same way, this event generates notoriety and brand recognition, establishing contacts with potential clients, distributors, suppliers and investors, generating business opportunities.

For his part, the head of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty, Alberto Paz, indicates that the Gourmet Fair in Madrid is an ideal setting to present La Palma's products and services to an interested target public.

In this edition, the Institution of La Palma has made a major effort to ensure that producers and raw materials from the island. The event will be attended by the island's companies Bodegas Tagalguen, Vinos Tendal, Veganorte, Piedra Jurada, Tamanca, Vitega and Viña Traviesa, Ron Aldea, Delicias de La Huerta, Olicafé, Bruco La Palma and the Asociación de Criadores de Cabra Palmera, with the Los Tumbitos and Los Barbuzanos farms.

Also present will be Mojos Virginia, La Destiladora, Mojos Sicilia, Mojos Regina, Mojos Ricomo, Vidaviva Ecofood, Ecofinca Tacande, Isla Verde, Molino Las Breñas, Molino El Guanche, Puros Julio and Salinas Teneguía, who will have the opportunity to present their products in a specially dedicated space, offering visitors the chance to discover and taste the authentic essence of La Palma through its wines, agricultural products, coffee, cheese and much more. All this together with GMR Canarias.

Furthermore, within the framework of the fair, La Palma will be present in the section of Olive Oils Origin from Spain, where it will exhibit the oils produced by Palmaoliva, highlighting the quality and characteristic flavour of these products.
