Abigail Martín and Yeray Delgado win the underwater photography contest 'Fotosub' at the La Palma Sea Festival

Abigail Martín and Yeray Delgado have been proclaimed winners of the underwater photography competition Fotusub, held this weekend as part of the Festival del Mar, an event organised by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma through the public company Sodepal.

The competition, which this year recognised the figure of Roberto Cáceres Ventura, professional and sports diver, lover of the sea and connoisseur of the seabed of La Palma, completed its podium with Julián Rodríguez and Yesica Concepción, who took second place, and Elia Alberto and María Ángeles Delgado, who were the third place couple.
Within the framework of the II Festival del Mar, the II Open Cazafotosub was also held, a competition in which the first place went to the couple formed by Juan Carballo and Jonahtan Pérez from La Palma. Second place went to the group formed by Isidro Felipe, Francisco and Ángeles.

The Councillor for Economic Promotion, Commerce, Industry and Energy of the La Palma Island Council, Jordi Pérez Camacho, acknowledged the "great work of the winning teams in these competitions, as well as the rest of the participants, who have captured the beauty and richness of the seabed of La Palma to show the public the value it has and to demonstrate that it is an incredible tourist attraction for the island".
