Sergio Rodríguez stresses that this project provides tools for advice and growth for entrepreneurs on the island.
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the public company Sodepal, is promoting the Mentory Talent programme, which provides personalised support for the promotion of entrepreneurial talent on the island and complements and goes one step further than the work carried out in the Talent Camp.
The island's president, Sergio Rodríguez, stressed that this is a key initiative that seeks to provide local entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and mentoring necessary to transform innovative ideas into viable and sustainable business projects.
Sergio Rodríguez stressed that the work to be carried out is in line with what the government group has been working on since it took over the management of public resources. Thus, the president stressed that "it is our goal to provide tools and the same opportunities to those who develop their initiative on the island, especially by supporting job creation among young people".
Miriam Perestelo, Councillor for Economic Promotion and delegate of Sodepal, indicated that this initiative aims to retain and attract young talent to the island, as well as to diversify the options for the future. She emphasised that this project allows work to be done on the development and management of business ideas.
Miriam Perestelo added that this programme will help to promote local entrepreneurship, providing the necessary tools to develop ideas and make them viable and sustainable.
For their part, the co-founders of Bementory, Cesar García and Josema Cabello, emphasised the personalised and flexible approach of the project, which allows participants to receive support tailored to their specific needs and contexts. It is also based on the commitment to entrepreneurship as a fundamental part of the Island's transformation and development process.
Following the registration process, which will open from Monday 14 October, personalised interviews will be held to learn about each case and, with the initial diagnosis, participants will be provided with 150 hours of mentoring in different areas.
In short, Mentory Talent provides entrepreneurs with access to a network of expert mentors and a support community that will allow them to learn from the experience of other professionals, thereby improving the business competitiveness of the participants through mentoring focused on strengthening the weaknesses detected and maximising opportunities.
This will also foster the sustainable growth of entrepreneurial initiatives through continuous and structured support; develop key skills in areas essential for business success, such as financial management, the creation of marketing strategies and effective communication; and promote innovation and creativity in the business models of the participating entrepreneurs.
