La Palma hosts the filming of a new Movistar+ programme presented by Patricia Conde

During these days, the island of La Palma is hosting the filming of The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body', a new television programme produced by Movistar+ in cooperation with Zebra Productionsand which Movistar+ channel #0 will soon be premiering. It is hosted by the presenter Patricia Conde and the science populariser Luis Quevedo.

The office of La Palma Film Commission, an entity dependent on the Society for the Promotion and Economic Development of the island of La Palma, has been in charge of providing all the information related to the search for locations, services on the island, as well as managing the filming permits.

The Extraordinary Powers of the Human Body' is a documentary series with one goal: "to share with the viewer the marvellous mechanisms that make our body work". The series focuses on explaining step by step, and through an original and entertaining format, the physiological intricacies that make our body an incredible machine, whose capabilities we know very little about.

The programme is an adaptation of the international format for Spain. Les pouvoirs extraordinaires du corps humain'.sciencetainment' documentary broadcast on France 2 and hosted by Michel Cymes and Adriana Karembeu. On this occasion, the presenters will take a look at the different stages of the race. Transvulcania, exploring at first hand how far the human body is capable of going in a race that requires such a high level of preparation, both physical and mental.
